Alternator is shot. Need a replacement.

Ok, so today my alternator died. I'm in need of a replacement as soon as possible, but seeing that I live in another country, it's kinda complicated.

Mitsubishi never sold GST's or GSX's officialy in here, only GS's and from 92 up. Would an alternator from them work on my 90 GSX? I want something that is bolt on, that doesn't require fabrication.

Which is the amps on a stock 90 GSM alternator? 75 amps? What is the amps on a N/T alternator? 65 amps?

If I can't get the right alternator that fits me in here, I will order it online from the US...anybody got any good pages to find one?

Help me, I'm confused into which model should I get

I dont mean to follow your threads around but like I said previously I have never had problems with any reman units or any new units for that matter. We stock new units at work but when we are out of them we have to call the parts store and have them send a reman. Sure, every now and then you can get a bad apple but that is what warranties are for. There is no way to prevent it but it does sometimes happen.

Most of the big chain auto parts stores have online stores too.

Beck/Arnley has a reman for 129.99 with a $50 core on www.partsamerica.com vs a new non-reman for $247.99 with no core.

Remember that since your case is cracked you probably wont get your core charge back.

i disagree, with www.autopartspeople.com you get a completly new OEM alt for $160
