alternator ground screw?

can anyone tell me if this looks like an alternator ground screw on the alternator i just got from my mechanic? and if it is where should i ground it?

I believe that's normal. IIRC mine is like that as well.

You could use that to ground the alternator. From the factory it's grounded via the mounting bracket to the block. Adding a direct ground won't hurt.
