I was looking at getting the SBR standard 20g, ported, internally gated, and the 90 degree elbow, which is going to run near 1200. Are there any other good alternatives for this price range. I dont want crazy hp, 400-450 is fine with me. Just havent really seen any other popular "bolt-on" turbos that compare...

how about a bolt-on PTE 50 trim..i know that thespeedfactor.com sells it for a good price with the install kit...

I totally agree. I love my 50 trim. Don't spend that much on a turbo when there are so many turbos out there that have just as much if not more potential, for much less.

Don't get me wrong. The 20g is a good turbo but there are tons of alternatives for less money
Good luck

Have a look at the featured products... top right to be exactl. I would go with that over a 20G.

for 1000, you could get a bullseye bolton HX35 that will get you 400-450 horsepower.

If you're willing to spend 1200 or even a little more, I would look into the FP Green or a bolt-on gt30 series BB turbo.

The agp are cheap as heck right now..RS49 T or RS60 T.Both are even easier install come polished for the price.I bought the Standard RS49 had to mess with the water line a bit and fan clearance was tight had to mess with my stock fan but as to performance it seems to be great ,decent fast spool.I paid extra for my polishing kind of a waste of money and made the mistake of gettin a 90 degree elbow welded on which I have to chop off now to install my new fmic.
Buddy had the 50 and just got the RS60T.Hard to beat the price.I have no problems running the internal gate either.I just have standard evo exh man and evo 02 no porting and n1 catback and downpipe.Internal gate works fine.

The RS60 makes big power but might be a bit laggy around town unless you go stroker but should rip at the track of course.I think my 50 trim will do fine with my current 264/272 combo.I plan on magnus intake and nitrous direct port. And of course forged motor likely 2.3 stroker.

There are a ton of alternatives for the 20g but it is more of a personal choice where you want to go with the car. I think that with your mods a T04E 60 trim or a Holset HX-35 would suit your car well. What is your final goal with the car? That would help narrow the turbo choices down a bit.

Having extensive ride time in one..I vote Turbonetics T4 60-1. Easily puts 400-450(crank) down and capable of 500+ to the wheels with supporting mods. Turbo will flow 32 lbs of boost effeiciently on the 2L. Boosts comes in full around 3600ish(18-19lbs) and pulls to redline like a banshee. My buddy has similar mods plus Venom intake manifold and few other goodies and walks zo6's, vipers and a good number bikes all day long from a roll. Hope that helps. :dsm:
