2G Alternative shifter cables

Hi i just got my manual trans rebuilt and we found out that the shifter cables used by the previous owner was few inches long, i would like to ask what other mistubishi cars have the same shifter cables as the 2g 4g63t because we dont have much parts for eclipses here in my country. Would a 6g VR4 Shifter cables work? And how long is the stock 2g turbo shifter cables are?
