2G Shifter Cables

Ok i got a questions about some difference between shifter cables.

I have a 2gb awd talon with a 6 bolt swap and needed shifter cables so i went to the junk yard and got some off a 2gb gst eclipse 7 bolt. i was wondering could that create a problem with shifting, like not be able to go into first gear if its to long or short trying to shift into gear. Should i get awd shifter cables if so would i get the 2gb awd cables or would i get the 1g shift cables because of the 6 bolt?

Did the original cables you took off have one or two adjusters?

I would continue to use the second gen shifter cables if the car is a 2g.

the ones i took off i didnt even think to check but my question is will the gst shifter cables fit on the gsx or tsi awd.... i can only think no because different transmissions but some say as long its the turbo model its ok but idk

The shift cables for both the gst and gsx 2nd generation cars are the same set up.

The 2gb cables are non adjustable.

If your still have the 2g tranny. Then you will need 2g shiftier cables. FWD and AWD turbo should be the same cables. No this is not and adjustment.
