i dunno whats wrong, 95 gst its been running fine besides a small coolant leak and lately I'll be driving and all the idiot lights will turn on and the car will just lose power until it dies... alt is brand new and so is the battery... any ideas?

Well if he alternator is NOT OEM then get it tested as it sounds like it's going out. I've gone through 3 Autozone alternators in a single week and one tested bad right off the shelf.

Have you had the alternator tested? If not, then how do you know it's "fine"?

It's due to improper voltage usually. Just get the alternator tested to rule it out even if it is brand spanking new.

The SRS (safety restrain system) needs a certain voltage to work properly. So does the ABS. When your battery voltage drops too low, those lights come one to signal that they are no longer functioning properly.

The battery/alternator light also comes on when your voltage drops too low, obviously because something is wrong with your charging system.

Sometimes, the coolant level, oil pressure, transmission temp, and other dash lights will come on due to low voltages causing false readings of non-normal conditions.

I made the suggestion of a separated crank pulley, because if it has split, the alternator may spin too slowly, causing similar symptoms to a dead alternator. It's just something else that's pretty easy to check.

As was stated get the alternator checked even if it is brand new i to have had one right off the shelf be bad

As stated to id for sure check that crank pulley

Also its possible it could be the regulator being faulty when it warms up after running for awhile the it decides to crap out.

Also just a possibility I had this on my 95GST it got a fair amount of oil on the belt and the belt would slip after it warmed up and i was driving it for awhile which causing the alternator to not spin properly which would cause a drop in voltage
