Ok, when I first bought my car (2g gsx), I noticed that the front driver's side wheel had some positive camber and the passenger front had some negative camber, and then both back wheels have negative camber. I'm pretty sure this isn't normal bec/ I've never seen any other 2g like that. When my car was in the shop getting some things replaced, I asked them to do a 4 wheel alignment, hoping that it would fix my problem. But it did absolutely no good. I'm kinda starting to wonder if they even did an alignment. Is there anyway I could find out if they actually did one? Shouldn't they have some records or something of the alignment? Or do I need to go to a camber kit? It's getting really annoying bec/ the tires are wearing so unevenly and I don't have enough money to buy tires before winter, and I probably won't have enough until spring. What are your guys' thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.

Ok, I'll bite...

First, if you have neg camber on the right and pos camber on the left you should have a pretty good pull to the left. Second, if you had it aligned and they did not come to you and tell you about the fact that you have angles out of spec (and/or) non-adjustable angles that should be corrected you got ripped off.

Now the GSX does not have a factory adjustable camber/caster however, you can get a kit and make all the angles adjustable. I would strongly suggest that if YOU or someone YOU KNOW has the abillity to install these kits, that you do so. After installing the kit take it to a place that knows how to align a car and have the alignent done correctly. See if they will let you talk to the tech and see what he is doing. You should ALWAYS get a print-out that give the specs and the actual measurements. If you have this let me know what you have for caster + camber for front and rear / left and right.

That's the problem, I don't have anything about my alignment. I'm gonna call the dealership on Monday that worked on my car and ask them if they can fax it to me or something. Bec/ I wanna see for sure that they did the alignment.

For this kit, how much does it cost?

Go to any DSM shop's web site and they WILL have them listed and priced. Look at Slowboy Racing / RRE / or where ever you want. You can get kits at most Carquest or NAPA stores due to them selling parts to shops for this kind of repair. I am not sure if the dealer will keep any records of work like that. Like most shops they will have record of invoices but not specs. I can't speak for the shops near you but I work at a Sears Auto Center. At our shop we will let you back in the shop to view the work being performed. We give you a BEFORE/AFTER print out, and we will explain all angles and what they cause/or mean. It would likely cost about $90 for the alignment ( I know! but they classify that as a difficult because of AWD ), the kit I'm not sure about but to install it is like $30 each side. You should just go buy the kit, install it and then go to a shop of your choice. Make sure you get to talk to the tech, and get a print out.

I'll have to see what I can find. I called the dealer today and he said he still had the stuff and he'd look it up and call me back, but the dipsh-t never called me back. So I'm gonna call him back tomorrow and keep bugging him until he gives me a definite answer and actually shows me proof that they did the alignment and didn't just charge me for it and not have done it. If they did that, they're going down, bec/ I could also get them for fukking up my timing.

But thanks for your help man. You'll be the first one I'll go to if I have anymore questions bout this. Thanks.
