1G Aisin oem waterpump?

Does anyone have pictures of an oem waterpump they purchased recently. I'm curious as to how much different this pump is when compared to a waterpump purchased from the dealer

Not 1G but my 2G pump has Aisin cast into the housing, its from mitsu direct but is NOS so they could have adjusted the design due to wear of the tool or they sold it to aomeone who now makes them

I know if u look , the aisin was carved out of the aluminum.

I'm just curious because this pump cost 50 dollars, it's made by aisin and from what I can tell is the same exact pump

I saw grind marks so i only assumed it could of been there.

From memory aisins are pretty cheap direct, its when its sold by dealer it goes up in price

As you know it happens all the time. Oem anything is always overpriced. A gates pump is only $25. A Denso 02 sensor is $20 online, buy it through mitsu and it's like $80 or a $2 denso oil filter is same as OEM without the mitsu logo. It baffles me sometimes when people don't understand that someone makes OEM parts. I actually had a guy at a Chrysler parts counter tell me that Mopar makes their water pumps, as well as the majority of OEM parts. He didn't have a good answer when I asked about interchangeable numbers for mitsu/Mopar parts.

Well I found it interesting that minus the casting being ground off, the pump is 100% the same, the impeller is even metal unlike the gates which I believe is some type of fiber reinforced plastic. It's also priced cheaper than several other pumps including a dorman I believe. The oem pump goes for 140+ last time I looked. This is rockauto for the record

I order my Aisin WP's from Amazon, same as OEM without the outrageous price tag, and they operate just fine.

Only difference i see, is the impeller the oem looks like a circle with paddles built in.

My aisin pump doesnt have the dowel pin for the pully. Thats the only dif i have noticed.
