There are people who have done it, however here on tuners they are few and far between. Usually you put air bags on a show car, not one you plan on driving hard or daily. Along with that, you usually dont use an AWD car as a show car, although there are some that do/will.

The question of "is it worth it" is something only the person asking can answer. Most people will say "no its not make the car fast instead". However, if you want it, then its probably worth it.

Unless you scrap it together, use crap lines/hoses/fittings and cheap bags, there is no reason why it shouldnt be safe.

the silver one is the one i copied to make mine, using the same bomex rear and quwhees kit. ill post some pics in the next few days.

Actully, airbags CAN be very practical, ride well, and perform almost as good as a coilover setup. Notice i said CAN. It's pretty common to see airbags on retro hotrods and it makes them perform pretty well on the road course. Nothing like a 100% custom suspention, but they do OK. For everyday use, they are OK as long as it was installed properly, and in cold weather, you have a dryer. The lines can freeze if moisture is introduced into the system, which is pretty easy to do! So in warm weather, they are very pratical, last a long time and are very cool. Nothing like pulling into a parking lot and slamming it, or pulling up to a drive-thru window and saying i can't reach you and pumping it up! Cold weather they can be a pain, but IMO they are well worth it. You get the look and performance of a lowered vehicle, as well the usefullness of "oh, my car won't go up the drive... hit the switch!"

Just like any other extreme modification, you have to weigh the pro's and the cons.

i have been running air for the last 5 years. had 3 different setups. if u are going to run tin cans, not my favorite get the accumulators to help smooth out the ride. what i have switched to is the easy street strut bags. they are built aroung performance shocks and i have been told ride good and will handle the power which was my concern when i built the motor and added a turbo to my nt. anyways if u have any questions hit me up. hope this helps

you know what i used to have the air cylinder kit from excentrix auto on my honda accord...and let me tell you scaaarrrryyyy i had the kit back in 99 before it became popular it was dangerous driving on the highway holy crap im sure now the kits are better plus i was looking into that bag over shock company but then i sold my honda and bought my tsi plain and simple if you live in like florida its great but bumps are bad real bad but thats just from my personal experience..and i can imagine the ride in the honda wouldnt be too diff from the ride in an eclipse
