air mass problem "I think"

Hello, I have a 94 talon and I took my air filter off because it was crushed badly so, I decided to put a CAI on instead of buying a OEM filter. But, when I changed the filter now, I can't go above 2.000 rpm because when I try accelerate past 2,000 then the engine bogs down. This is the first time I had a car with an air sensor, can I even use a CAI and how can I use 1 with an air sensor??? thanks

First question is the car getting enough air?? Second is the intake made for the car you have?? Third is the check ses light on??? If so you need to get it checked to see what the problem is because in some cases if the maf sensor is bad the ses light is on. I need to know was it the same way before you put the intake on or after??

Did you forget to reconnect the plug on maf sensor?
