air/idal sencer on after market intake

I took off my stock intake on my 93 eclipse and put an after marker cold air intake but I had to unhook what I thought was the air/fuel sencer and now my car dont like to idal when I came to a quick stop and the check engine lite is on, I know why the engine lite is on because I dont have anything pluged in the switch but is there a way to hook up the stock one to the after marker intake

if i understand what you are saying sounds like you are trying to run the car with the maf unpluged,posting a pic would help
