AIR FUEL problem

1998 eclipse rs, i just installed a air fuel gauge and turned the car on. however when i did started the car the gauge was stuck on RICH. i checked all the conections and they seem great. i drove it around for a while and it was still stuck on rich. i was just wondering if there was something i did wrong or if you guys think a connection is bad?

so your gauge doesn't isolate at all? make sure you tapped the right wire from the ecu. the narrow band is just a reference but it should isolate a little. to me it sounds like you got the wrong wire tapped i think it is white with a black stripe. don't quote me on that though.

yupe the right wire is taped checked it again today white with black stripe i used one of those things were when you clip it, it cuts through both wires. still no iso today stuck on blue. i ran my power wire (red) to the cigerette liter, ground to the body, and green to the white with black strip. if that helps anyone out to help me out then please help me.

you know its funny slemer was the only one that offered any help to my problem. owell i figured it out on my own if anyone ever has this problem this is what i did

i redid all my connections made sure the wire was actually touching. and it finally worked.
on the 98 eclipse nt the o2 sensor is a white wire with a black strip down the middle if you go to 2gnt they actually have what each wire is.

Don't take it personally, but sometimes it takes people a while to come up with an answer for a question, or the answer to the question has been covered in a tech article somewhere that you should have searched for. Usually check on 2gnt.com or here, also I think a lot of people are on vacation etc and take a lot longer getting back to things.
