After replacing my timing belt tensioner my car now backfires like crazy and the air/fuel pegs at 10 under boost car runs great when not in boost and idles fine. It's on a tune it ran fine on before.

Have performed a boost leak test? Is there any wiring you may have taken off that hasn't been plugged in or has a loose connection. Did you remove the timing belt when replacing the tensioner. Did you hold cams in place before removing belt? I would check it hasn't jumped a tooth.

It sounds like you might be off a tooth or two on either of your cams. How did you line up everything? Can you set the engine to TDV by the crank and take a picture of your cams for us?

Check over everything you touched to do timing. Double check timing marks are dead on with cyl 1 at tdc. Also go over any vac lines or couplers that you might have removed or loosened during your work.
