420A Air filter thingy coming out of engine

Heys guys just wanted to see if this is bad for my engine. Itll come off and I won’t notice till I take a peak at the engine and put it back in place.

I’ve not ever been around a 420a engine, but if that was mine I would be trying to fix it. I’m not sure if that fix looks like removing the VC and trying to JB weld it into place or shopping for a new VC.

I know it’s out of the picture but I assumed it just goes to the air intake tube, hopefully OP can confirm.

Careful cleaning of the hole and fitting with alchahol, and JB weld epoxy on the sides of the fitting (don't block the air flow) would be my attempt until it fails.

Yea it does come from the intake tube

That's just the breather tube for your crankcase (for negative pressure). It's supposed to fit very tightly in your valve cover and only come out with force. If it keeps popping out then either your valve cover or the fitting is worn. More likely the valve cover since it's aluminum and the fitting is steel. You can put it back in place with JB weld like others have said. I would probably just get a new valve cover and paint it. Your gasket is leaking like hell anyway. Check your PCV valve and the hose for it too. I bet it's cracked somewhere, there's no other reason it should be soaked in oil like it is.
