ahhh i got beat by a honda

ive got a turbo talon with 16g turbo boost control at 18psi k&n injection kit racing fuel pump port and polished exhaust all the way1gn bov 1gn intercooler half way up graded intercooler piping. a stock gsr beat me how im not a bad driver im not the best but help i think the intercooler and piping and no upgrade on injectors may be hurting me what do you guys think. The big import showdown is coiming up but if i cant beat a gsr stock i cant go
 
damn man...sux for you...no offense but either something is truely wrong with your car or you just suck at driving. I would check into both cause the only hondas that hang with me are the Turbo'd Hatchbacks, and CRX's the Integs, Civics, Accords, Preludes, RSX's...none of those even are close...I'm not saying they can't be but they just never are. Watch out for the hatchbacks though...those little fukers get H22's in there and the turbo them with 50 trims and put our cars to shame...can you say 10.9 sec.
 
Can you also say not streetable and a shytload of custom fabbing. An H-22 in an EG hatchback ('92-'95) is tough enough. My friend had a DC header on his and it cleared the radiator by maybe ½ an inch (which by the way, in a '94 Si hatch, H-22 with intake, header, exhaust, and VAFC ran a 13.4 on street tires OMG ). A turbo'd B-16A or turbo'd B-18C1 (GSR) in an EG hatch will be good enough for 12's with proper building and tuning.
 
I have not ran a integra GSR but I did run a RSX type S with intake and exhaust.. from a 45 mph roll. I wasn't expecting him to go so after I heard his car ten I downed to 3rd and went. I got him to my rear 1/4 then around 6grand I remembered to hit the profec B (high boost) after that I pulled away hard untill 120s (slowed down). then we ran from about 10-60 mph on high boost I had 2-2.5 cars on him and still gaining hard.

I am very similiar to your setup

stock everything else. for now!!

according to the A/F meter I am still running almost all the way rich @ 17 psi. I am still going Walbro pump, re-wire though.
 
and about the built honda thing one of my friends has a street driven 92 hatch almost all gutted with a Turbo GSR motor that has been sleved and fully built it should be able to do 10s easy.. he is planning on 25 psi.
 
A STOCK turbo DSM wont lose to a stock GSR. Either he had alot of work done or you've got some problems like others have said. Heatsoak, not getting enough fuel etc.
 
Man alot of you guys are plan Idiots...You guys make it seem that HOndas suck ass...one thing I had a acura for 3 years and my car from what I done what have smoked alot of you guys..all you guys saying oh man I feel sorry for you that you lost to a honda...get your head out of your ass....if you guys even knew the capabililtes then you guys would think differently...I still love hondas but wanted a change...so I got a dsm...which I love to...but ####...reliablity between the Honda and a dsm..well there is no brainer there...a honda...so before you guys talk shit about hondas...please learn about them before you uneducated asses talk.. :)

My buddys Turbo gsr is running 7.56@98 in the 1/8 mile which should be good for a 11.5-7 or so in the 1/4(wait till he runs over 25psi). May i mention his car has not broke once. HuMm. The only down fall is that its fwd, but dont get me wrong it will tear you a new one. :D

Nice vid. I still miss my Honda to some extent. My hatch had a grip of top end on the freeway. Never raced an AWD, but I did beat some GST's and was proud of that. I was thinking of getting another hatch and doing a turbo'd B-16A setup on the side of my DSM.
 
He has crazy top end to, just look at his trap on that 1/8 mile run its crazy. Actually he is thinking of droping his built GSR/turbo block in a hatch, he wants 10s in his integ but last resort he will run the hatch.

Blow enough money on any car and you can make it fast. :) Weather you buy it fast, or spend money to make it fast. Saw some show on speedvision. Some dude dropped 100k into a civic. Did not really impress me, from what I saw the 100k was wasted. Whatever.

He won alot of trophies with it though. He should if it cost him 100 grand.

Point is, I wouldnt feel bad about being beat by a metro with 20k under the hood. etc etc

I don't see why I'm the only one to read this far into it, but I see a 'racing fuel pump' and 'port and polished exhaust all the way'....the fuel pump named with 'racing' in front of it w/out telling how many lph it flowed (namely the walbro brand with the 190lph and 255lph pumps...). Also, since when did people port and polish exhaust :confused: . Someone please clarify me with this, but I don't see how nobody didn't catch these earlier, or I just may be a moron; and if that's the case, I'm selling my car and buying a Honda.

Typical. I never once said hondas suck. I said a stock GSR will not beat a stock turbo eclipse/talon/laser. Unless of course you are a bad driver and spin your wheels off from the start.

Just for fun. At what point does a car stop being the car it was? Meaning you take a cvic, swap the motor out, replace all the suspension. Redo the interior, rebuild the engine with forged internals. Turbocharge it, replace all the exhaust etc etc etc. The only thing left is the honda badge.
