ahhh i got beat by a honda

ive got a turbo talon with 16g turbo boost control at 18psi k&n injection kit racing fuel pump port and polished exhaust all the way1gn bov 1gn intercooler half way up graded intercooler piping. a stock gsr beat me how im not a bad driver im not the best but help i think the intercooler and piping and no upgrade on injectors may be hurting me what do you guys think. The big import showdown is coiming up but if i cant beat a gsr stock i cant go

Just for fun. At what point does a car stop being the car it was? Meaning you take a cvic, swap the motor out, replace all the suspension. Redo the interior, rebuild the engine with forged internals. Turbocharge it, replace all the exhaust etc etc etc. The only thing left is the honda badge.

I love my eclipse, dont get me wrong, but if you like doing autocross, then there isnt a much better platform than the DC2 integra. Cheap, with huge aftermarket support and a great design. good schtuff mang!
 
ok.. here is also something he coulda done...

Those cars can swap out ECU's like we change our brakes... and, they have a little thing they can put on and even make improvments on stock motors called Hondata...

I have seen the difference and basically its a form of standalone that is easy to tune and alot of shops will do it... if he had this he coulda easily taken out your ride, not to mention the overboost might be hurting you more then helping you.
 
Why do these post always turn into a Honda/DSM fued? Most hondas are like stockcar race cars, they are only the shell and 'kewl' upsidedown Acura badge in 'yellow'. I posted the obvious, he should not have lost to a stock GSR with a modded dsm. He had a 16g and that alone will give him the advantage in racing a OMG stock gsr.

I know the same argument can be made about us doing swaps and gutting thngs and what have you. It's the simple fact that they use engines that were never supposed to be put in the car. We might go from 7 to 6 bolt, but not throwing a 3000gt vr4 into a gsx. (not that people probly haven't tried);) It is not a Honda hb with simply exhaust and piping, its a whole different car. :rolleyes: <---this concludes my talk of hondas on a DSM BOARD:thumb:
 
i finally got to the guys friends becouse i have not seen him agian he is using nos cams intake he has a completly modded car and took me for it.:cry:
 
Wow.. and to think we used 3 pages worth of forums explaining why.. and we find out he jipped you. Thats why you look under the hood before you race :D
