Wondering if anyone has used or has any info about these oil catch cans/accumulators from AGP. Like the detail says, other catch cans collect a smaller amount of oil and oil still gets by like the one I currently have on, Some oil still passes by. This design seems like it will do a better job separating the vapors and oil.
The details say it is for a Srt-4, but they don't make one specially for DSM...Any input/opinions?

Also one more question....i did a search but was overwhelmed with all the posts and did not find a clear answer
Does it matter if the PCV is between the intake manifold and catch can instead of the valve cover and catch can. I have a straight fitting on my valve cover. Reason I did this is to lengthen the life of the PCV so the oil goes into the catch can before passing thru the PCV.

$120 for a shiny catch can?? Ouch, if you are somewhat handy you can make one yourself with PCV pipes/caps and stuff it with some steel wool for a lot less. That's all that a catch can does (unless you want the shiny looking kind)...

In either case, I'd suggest the catch can between the PCV valve and the valvecover so it never sees the high boost of the intake manifold...

Yes you could attach the pcv valve where the top spigot is on that 3 layer can.
But as warranty said, $120 is pricey. SS wool in an elcheapo can will do the job.
A bigger dia rocker cover vent for the other one > to a can > to atmos or intake.
Cheers !

Wont the catch can be seeing boost from the intake manifold if there was nothing between it? The PCV between the catch can and the intake manifold prevents that. Its just blowby coming from the valve cover but im not sure how much pressure that will build under boost.

I'd use it between the rockercover and the intake. (but not at that price)

The PCV system is designed to take the oil vapor and burn it and seems to do that well as long as the PCV valve seals under boost. Where we need an oil separator is between the rockercover and the intake to filter the oil from the blowby under boost that tends to cover the pipping and intercooler with oil.

I never though that the pressure in the crankcase would exceed the pressure in the manifold under boost so the PCV valve would be closed while boosting and nothing would enter the intake manifold but perhaps the dynamics are more complex.
