Ive searched the threads and havent found anything on how to install aftermarket steering wheels. I dont think it would be to hard but ive heard you need a special tool to take the airbag off. Is there any How-to's on how to install one?

Hey, I changed my steering wheel and all you need to do is unplug the negative terminal on your battery, go to auto zone and buy a steering wheel puller (which is 17 dollars) then take off your airbag, take the bolt off, then apply the steering wheel puller pieces and start twisting the tool until your steering wheel comes off. Its easier than I've explained, but make sure you have it lined up right and dont twist it around so that when you apply your new steering wheel it isnt crooked =)

you dont need the steering wheel puller. ive pulled off the steering wheel on 3 different 2g's by hand and its not hard.

so i can buy a quick release hub and i can mount that to the steering colum and the new steering wheel? or do i need tomething to mount the quick release to?

The stationary part of many quick-release hubs are meant to be welded to the steering shaft. Grant made one for street cars, I don't know if they still do, nor if other manufacturers have picked up on the idea. You'd think in this age of car theft, they'd be a lot more common.
