Aftermarket keyless entry remote with OEM system

As im sure alot of you have also realized...the OEM keyless entry remote is junk after 10-15 years of abuse.

Is there anyone out there using or know of an aftermarket remote fob that canbe programmed to work with the OEM system? Or would i be better off just getting an aftermarket system and installing?

If i have the stock alarm that doesnt mean I have keyless entry does it?

Emmm I just have the viper something. forgot the full name.
It don't matter. They gonna override the stock anyways. The cool thing with mine is if they do bypass the viper the stock door lock are still in play!

I think he just wants to get a new remote for the stock alarm.. Not a new system

Keyless rides on ebay sells an $11 remote. I got it for my gf's spyder a while back and it still works fine. I'll be getting it for the gsx as well.

sweet, they have 'non oem' remotes that work. But not for $11,

i would believe so, but you can always talk to the dealer and have them run your vin...they should be able to find out

I would never go aftermarket with something like that espically if you have a factory one. Just have the dealer program you another one, Youll be better of in the long run.
