Working on my wiring diagram to megasquirt my car. I am going to completely remove the stock ECU. Problem is that the cruise control is ran by the ECU. I thought I might have figured this out by using the cruise control ECM from a GST or GSX but figured out a bad problem. The cruise control is only set to work between 35 to 80 mph on these cars, because the VSS signal is different between a 420a and a 4G63, the signal would be 2 times slower using the 420a VSS on a 4G63 cruise control ECM. So at 40 mph the ECM would be seeing 80, which means I couldn't use the cruise control after 40 mph.

So, I decided that aftermarket would be the way to go. The only think is how to make an aftermarket cruise control work if I wanted to use the stock control switches. Seems like it would be straight forward but I am sure I am missing something. I would love to use a adaptive cruise control but no aftermarket kits yet. :/
