afr high when warming up

I have researched and still cannot find an answer. When I first start my car (cold start) the wideband reads like 20-30 afr. I believe this is way to high to even support combustion, but it runs. Its a little hesistant at first at low rpm's and kinda misses a little or studders but once the car is at operating temp (185-190 degrees) the afr goes to 14.3-14.8 and runs good after that. After its warm at idle afr is good and under boost my afr is perfect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you tuning with anything? Do you have a logger?

Im using a mass air flow translator and a wideband for now. No logger

Well i did some looking and figured out it myslef. There is a switch on the MAFT that allows cold start enrichening. Flipped the mode 3 switch and fixed it. Does anyone know what the max advance timing should be under higer rpm's? Im getting like in the 30 degree range.

You need to be careful when running maft and tuning with such basics. I would strongly recommend with your setup to lookin into ecmlink even if you get v3 lite. You can get pocket loggers cheap too.

30* of timing on pump gas with no logger.... Sounds like a recipe for kaboom to me. Don't remember what the stock maps are but I'd say 12* maxish

30*?!? thats damn near suicide for your engine. Invest in a logging system. DSMlink ftw!
