afpr set up and vac source

do i set it without vac line attached while idling? also, im using the vac line originally coming off the stock fpr, is that ok? or should i tee into the line before the solenoid?

I used the stock vacuum line on my car, just so long as it is in good condition its fine. Also, yes, when the car is idling, disconnect the vacuum line and then set the base fuel pressure.

Leave the vac line off when you set it. It should be around 43.5. You could just delete the stock solonoid but you can have a hard time starting the car once its warm. Otherwise just use it.

thanks, i adjusted it wrong then. dialed it in with vac connected. will redo it tomorrow.

well, i adjusted it today after a nightmare with brand new pte 1000's leaking. dont want to get into that.
anyway, i set it to 43 w vac OFF and idling. plugged vac line back in and it dropped to around 37 i think. is this ok? and what should i use in link as my base fuel pressure? the higher or lower number?

Yes, that is how it should work.

Use the one you set with the vacuum line off.


For future reference, you can set it using link and not have to remove the vacuum line. Turn on the fuel pump via link and set the pressure. Done.

nice, thanks sno. i think i may be on to why i was running a bit rich under WOT. more tuning after work tomorrow! i fn LOVE this endless black hole of cash , seriously dsms are so fun to work on sometimes. just the learning is cool
