AFPR vacuum source?

i have an aeromotive AFPR and i have it hooked up to manifold vacuum. should it be hooked up to a straight boost source before the throttle body? i have a lean situation between shifts and just when you start to touch the gas off the clutch. it acts like the added vaccuum off the vacuum side is causing it to lower the fuel pressure and go lean. any thoughts?

AFPR should have a manifold vaccum source after the throttlebody. There should be two nipples available off the manifold, one to your BOV and one to FPR.
 
The pressure reference for the fuel pressure regulator needs to be connected to the intake manifold so the fuel injectors deliver the same amount of fuel per unit of time regardless of throttle position considering how our ECU works. Make sure that the FPR is reacting correctly to changes.

If you are lean at tip in you need to change the ECU tuning.
 
I used the same one that fed the original fuel pressure regulator, right where the engineers originally intended. Works just fine :thumb: makes sense right?

If you are having problems, I would look elsewhere as the manifold side of the TB is the correct place.
