rubber vac hose for boost source

the rubber hose connecting my jpipe to my wastegate gets extremely hot. is it possible that once it gets hot, it closes and restricts boost flow/air flow causing my car to hesitate when boosting?

im considering every possibility!! thanks for any help!

seems like a fuel manag. issue.What are you using for FP and Fuel man.?Any FCD's?Do you smell gas when your at WOT?

He doesnt have fuel management yet. so his car is running super lean without it

yes super lean. and no, i dont smell gas and i have the missing link instead of a FCD

if your running super lean, i would not recommend driving that car until you have a proper tune.

You can always heat wrap your turbo, exhaust but I don't think that's your problem.

First off stop driving the car before you start to detonate. And then get rid of the missing link and go with the fcd. and get a fmu asap

Detonation is probably your hesitation problem. Many people myself included use rubber line for vacuum hose with no problems.

You just started a thread a day or 2 ago asking about this. As you were already told, you are going to destroy the engine driving it without the fmu. STOP DRIVING IT. That is your problem, not some vacuum hose. You do not have an fmu, you don't have a boost gauge, you are asking for a blown engine. Do yourself a favor, do not even start the car until you have the fmu.

If that hose gets hot and closes then that means you will over boost since there is no pressure to open the wastegate. Make sense?
