Sorry about the anger.Lot of pressure right now.not very good with a computer, not like you youngins!Thanx for fixin me up

I read somewhere that you should allways prime a new turbo. Is this true? How exactly is this done? What kind of oil?

That is an AFPR, and is not suited to boosting a 420a unless you're using a PortFueler or MegaSquirt for engine management.

SAFC's are not very useful on turbocharged 420a motors, due to the need to hide boost from the ECU.

You can prime a turbo by running the oil pump. (cranking the motor without starting)

every body says a S-afc is what you need to tune your turbo 420A,is this true?this afpr is the one that came with the 420A turbo kit.

Hell no.. I had an afc in my 2gnt w/ T and it was nothing but a headache.. I would do 2nd gear pulls and everytime the wideband would read way off without even adjusting afc.. That thing will help you idle with big injectors . thats it

You need an FMU to run boost, preferably a 12:1 FMU. An afpr is basically a 1:1 rising rate unit, with the ability to adjust idle fuel pressure.
As for using the safc... don't. There's a sticky that Paul made somewhere in the 420a section, if you want more detail.
