AEM Wideband Broken

Today I was going to have my car tuned with the help of my wideband. After getting it all wired and had the car going for a while the gauge started smoking, I shut it off checked the wiring and everything looked ok. I got my wideband from my other car to test and it also started smoking. They both got stuck a 14.8 I tried the both in my other car and both read 14.8. Prior to this the one in my car that was not being tuned worked fine so I dont think the sensor is to blame on this one. Has any one else had this happen and if so was there a way to fix it so I dont have to buy 2 new gauges!!!!!

What are you using as a power source for the gauge?

What did you have your wires hooked up to. Smoking electronics are bad and it's most likely done for. Time to get an Innovate MTX-L wideband now.

Sorry I didn't reply earlier long day at work. Any how I think wiring would be to blame them, I just looked to how I wired it. Turns out I had wired it into the blue wire that is coming off of the stereo harness. Its cut back because I don't have a radio and didn't think about it when I tapped in to it. Just to make sure does any one know if that would have been the problems or does that carry the proper voltage?

Just wire it into the cigarette lighter much easier and its right there to hide your wires. Ive wired it once and never have had any problems
