montreal,
i just bought my aem wideband and i will be getting it installed at a performance shop so i wanted to know how long should it take for installation?

This should not take more than an hour, possibly 20 minutes with the right tools and know-how. All they need to do is drill a hole in the downpipe and weld in the o2 sensor bung. They run the wire into the cockpit somehow (a good spot for this is through the bottom of the car under where the center console is. there are a few wires that go up through there by your rear o2 sensor). Then install the gauge somewhere and run the wiring through it. Then your done.

I just had a shop weld in the bung for me and I did the rest. Try not to run the wires through the engine bay as it will be messy and you'll have a difficult time holding the wire so it doesn't touch anything that moves.

is this the aem 6in1 wideband? i was going to go with that but changed my mind and picked up the innovative LM1 instead.

lots of ppl told me it was better, a few other i've talked to said they had issues with the aem going out to quickly.

innovative is one of the best ones you can get on the market, but then again its all subject to ppl's opinions.

Yeah the AEM manual says at least 36" away from the turbo, before the cat for the O2 bung..
