I currently have a 99 eclipse gs (NT 420a). I am looking for a set of cam gears and a pulley set. I plan to put a turbo on in the future, and have read all sorts of stuff, like the gears arent balanced so the will cause exsessive wear, and that the pulleys will cause the belt to come off if you are on the highway. I have also read that the pullies can save a bit on gas, while increasing hp a little. just like to research and get other peoples opinions too. So any input on the above would be great and then weigh in on AEM Vs Unorthodox Racing. Thanks.

well in my opinion with the time and effort you will surely put into all this work on the motor, for just a bit more cash you can buy the turbo motor (4g63) which sounds like it is what you would want to build, and you can put a lot more beef on it. you can run into a lot of trouble with your current motor, but look at ssautochrome.com and andysautosport.com and dsmparts.com they are all good sites. and if you opt for the 4g motor go look at maybe a stage one or stage two block on bushurracing.com and as for AEM vs. unorthodox its preference and experience regardless of what others say, you should still choose which one feels right, and after careful research, good luck!
