AEM UEGO question

Hi i searched and i didnt find the exact answer i was looking for, so im sorry if this is a repeat. I recently purchased an AEM uego wideband sensor. My question is how to i hook it up for data logging. Im using evo scan if that matters. do you just hook the wire to the o2 pin in the ecu? what setting should the back of the gauge be on? What pin in the ecu or i tap into, or replace?

Yes put it in the original 02 input, and set your narrowband to your gauge.

or get dsmlink and wire it to something like the egr temp sensor.

i assume that when i set the back of the gauge to narrow band it will still read as a wideband on the front

There are a couple ways to do it. The uego has a serial digital output just for logging. You can set the switch on the back to p4, narrowband simulation. Cut the signal wire for the stock o2 sensor, and the gauge reads the wideband reading, and the ecu gets a simulated 0-1v narrowband signal you can log. Better yet is to configure the ecu to read0-5v for the o2 sensor instead of 0-1v. This will allow better resolution, and a true wideband signal to be logged. Connection is the same as above but with the selector at p0.

I'm not familiar with the 98-99 ecu's. But you change the hex code to scale 0-5v, instead of 0-1v. It's readily available info for the 1g's.

SO let me see if i get this. i cut the wire from my rear o2 going to the ecu then just hook up the white wire from the wideband kit to the ecu from there? do i need to change the scale on the back of the gauge? I feel like that would be pointless because i want to log the wideband sensor not a simulated narrowband?
