advice please...

so it seems as if a bearing went on my car, and im left with two options, pull the engine out and fix it that way or get a new engine take it out and put a new one in..

i own 1996 gs,

dont know anything about rebuilding inside of the cars..

so any advice on what i should do..

any place to get a rubuilt one thats less costly..

right now i dont know what to do..

Rebuilding ot buying a new motor is a choice to be determined after deciding if downtime is ok. Rebuilding yourself will undoubtably take some time so if you dont have another vehicle your gonna be down for the game for as long as it take you to rebuild. Also you run the chance of messing something up but on the upside you will learn a lot about your engine while rebuilding it. If you plan on going turbo in the future (highly suggested ) then you should upgrade some of your internals because boost is like a drug, you always want more.

If you dont have another vehhicle and really cant afford the downtime and no aspirations for going turbo, then buying another motor is the way to go.

You need to really think about it.
