advice on front cover

ok...long story short...i blew up my 6 bolt...well i found a good deal on another complete 6 bolt block n head with everything new (rods, pistons, bearings,etc...) it just has to be put together...well i got the rotating assembly no problem but my confusion is the front cover...tried looking for info in vfaq but didnt have much luck. im more of a picture person..LOL...anyone have any kind of help it would be greatly appreciated.
 
Yes...the front cover as in where the water pump is, oil pump, ...

Just make sure you have the correct one (6bolt vs 7bolt). Then make sure you have all the right bolts in the right places. Oil pump gears inside the backside of the housing each have a mark on them for alignment. Put those together when assembling. Pack it all really good with bearing grease/vasoline before final cover installation.

i am eliminating the balance shafts...got a bse kit...bearings already in...is there a vfaq on doing the front cover...i have yet to find one?
 
Here is a pic and some diagrams for the 6bolt. Don't be lazy and do some searching, there is A LOT of stuff on this forum...

do the oil pump gears need to be aligned via timing marks if we are doing a BSE
Nope. Those marks are intended to align the balance shafts, so once they eliminated, you can disregaurd alignment of the oil pump gears.
