Resolved Advice on 02 housing removal

I'm planning to remove my 02 housing without removing the turbo/manifold. Any advice? I know that the last bolt to the very right is a pain.

Removing the rad helps on my 1g to get a little more torque room, but its unnecessary. Its really pretty easy to remove,

Extensions and wobble bits are the best to work with. Wd40 penetrant works best. If you change your mind and want to crack them loose when it's hot, Wear gloves.

or hit the bolt with a torch if ya need to.

Be really careful. I'd use a ton of blaster and let it sit as long as you can. I tried to do it without the blaster once and just broke off one and the others didnt seem like they were coming loose either.

It's not as hard as it looks. Just need to be paitent. Pb blaster it very well and let it sit for atleast a good 30 min (how I did mine)
Don't forget aniti seize when you put it back on.

Remember to disconnect the battery as you can short the terminal on the alternator! Ive done this myself and the top bottom and fronts are easy. The back was the problem but it worked well and took 2 hours to do it all. Remember new gaskets aswell and plenty of time.

Knowing you're not planning on taking off the manifold or turbo. But it would make it a bit easier if you loosen the manifold studs and pulled it away from the head a bit. Will give you an extra bit to work in

Make sure you remove the o2 sensor before you spray that thing down with pb or wd, as if they get on the sensor it will damage it
