Advice - Engine needs to be pulled, while it's out...

I would greatly appreciate some advice. I have a 1995 5Spd GSX with roughly 95k miles. Light mods include DejonTool piping, K&N, MBC, VR-4 pump(yet to be installed), Tein Basics, Energy Sus. motor mounts + suspension bushings, DSMLink.

Due to a very strange and difficult axle mishap, my friend/mechanic is pulling the motor to extract two bolts that broke off...To be honest, I'm not really sure of the specifics, but he tried fabbing an adapter plate so that he wouldn't have to extract the bolts but he felt it was too risky when he finished with it...

That's besides the point, my question to the community is that while the engine is out, I'd like to do anything possible to refresh/replace any internals or parts of the engine that would increase longevity. I'm not planning on taking the motor out again for at least another year (I want to give it a shot myself, and I simply have no time), so since it HAS to come out now I figured now would be a good time to shape up the engine a bit...Please note that I am on a extremely limited budget. I'd love to replace the clutch/flywheel, pistons, valvesprings, etc. but I simply have no money. Is there any parts you can recommend (shooting for a $250 dollar price cealing) that I buy and have my friend change in? Thanks for the advice beforehand.

Forgot to mention...

The T-belt was changed about 20k miles ago so I'm not worried about focusing on that while its out, in case anyone would make a case for that.

wow...250.00 is pretty limited when it comes to doing anything worthwhile, I would sell the engine since it is a 7 bolt motor and go with a JDM 6 bolt. But that goes way over your mark. but it would be the best thing for the extended life of the car in general. Probably the only thing that you could do for that would be a new flywheel as long as you have it out. Assuming you don't want to go with the 6 bolt motor.

for 250 you could get a kevlar timing belt thats about it or replace your oil pump and get a kevlar timing belt or replace oil pump and water pump
