Well I finally got around to trying to learn the heel toe technique today, and I noticed that it is RIDICOUSLY hard to do. Then I realized that my gas pedal and brake pedal are no where near level. My clutch and brake are.. but the gas is way lower. I was wondering if you guys know how I would go about raising my gas pedal to make it even with the other pedals so that I can hopefully master this technique? Thanks a lot guys.

yeah they are there and wont move, sorry. You may be able to make something to get the height of the pedal up a bit. You will most likely just have to put maybe a small piece of wood on it but that seems ghetto.

Female drifters in Japan use blocks of wood duct taped to the gas because they are really short and the Race seats aren't adjustable. Another less 'ghetto' solution is buy JUST an aftermarket gas pedal. Go to local auto store and pick up the 15 dollar APC set and use just the clutch and gas that way the gas and brake are level now and it makes it easire to heel-toe

I'm eventually going to have a local guy here fabricate a new accelerator arm. (Actually modify one I've gotten from a junkyard.) I'll share with you the technique I've been using in the meantime.

The accelerator is closer height-wise to the break pedal towards the top of the pedal (or actually the middle.) If, when you heel-toe, you break higher on the break pedal you should be able to roll your foot (shoe really) well into the go-pedal, or at least enough to get a fairly decent blip. Don't skimp on the brake pedal though. I think it might be common to only use half your foot on the brake pedal in order to accomplish the downshift, but I think that's a bad habit to get into. If you want your foot to slip off of just one of the pedals, the brake is not that pedal. Also when you are doing this at high speeds you want much more control over the brake than the accelerator when you are doing the heel-toe.

You're milege may vary, but this is what works for me. Don't get into an accident learning this on the road. :)
