I was asking Jtoby (jtmcinder - Wiseman) about installing in an adjustable proportioning valve for the rear brakes when "deleting" an ABS system.
The fronts are T'ed of the master cylinder and run straight to the calipers and the rear are set to the prop valve and then T'ed to the rear calipers. Basically everything is the same on the "delete" but instead of installing a OEM part for the prop valve, a Wilwood or JEGS style valve is used for the rear.
He suggests using the OEM ABS system prop valve somehow to get a good front/rear bias for road racing.

The question is, how safe would this be? Jtoby brought up the corner to corner safety, as there wouldnt be any. The pressure would be the same on both fronts and whatever you set it to on the rears.

Before any opinions come up! Heres the article that must be read to understand where Im coming from - http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/techarticles/71398_install_brake_proportioning_valve/index.html
Make note of the picture showing where the valve is installed!

What problems would occur with this setup for the street vehicle/weekend road course car?
Todd from TCE would be of great info ;)

Well, I would use a stock non abs equalizer valve for most cases. Unless your going full race, stock prop valve is good enough. A aftermarket vavle is to be used as a tuning tool, not to replace a equalizer valve (or atleast with stock master cyl. setup). THe only way I would trust using solely a aftermarket adjuster, is if I had 2 Brake pressure gauges and a very clear understanding on how brake bias affects setup and handling. In other words, if this is a car that will see the street with rain and snow use a non abs prop valve.
