I Have been having a problem with my clutch recently. While driving if I hit the brake pedal I lose pressure on the clutch pedal. Some times the pdal has even been stuck to the floor. I tried bleeding the system and it seemed like it worked but after driving for a few minutes it was back to losing pressure again. I didn's see any signs of leaking from the master or slave cylinder. I took the car to a local shop that I trust. They bled the system and said they got a perfect clutch pedal, but as soon as they hit the brake pedal, the clutch pedal lost pressure again. He told me that the only thing that would control both the clutch and brake is the proportioning valve. The only place I have been able to find this part is the mitsu dealer. Is there anywhere else I can find this part. I have a 1997 mitsubishi eclipse GS-T. I even tried a performace site I have bought parts from and they told me to just go the dealer and I got the same news from advanced auto parts and NAPA. The best price I have gotten is about $115. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
