Adding water everyday, coolant by oil filter.

Like the title stateS I'm loosin coolant... Could I be burning it?
 
Possible leak areas by the oil filter are:
O-ring on the large water pipe connected to the water pump
Oil cooler inlet and outlet hoses
Bad water pump leaking out of the weep hole

Dry the wet areas as best you can and then let the car idle for a bit to see where it leaks. If you have to add water everyday i am sure you will find the leak in a matter of mins.
 
Might as well let them know about your coolant problem. A lot easier to fix with the car up already.

Even if you want to fix it yourself you could atleast have them identify the culprit.
 
There is an o ring inside the oil filter housing that seals and seperates the oil and water. If that o ring is bad it will leak cooland and like said above make sure you change it. IF not you will have some real issues quick when the cooland washed our your bearings. GL

Not even close.

The coolant is separated from the oil by the cooling unit itself. The o-ring seals the cooling unit against the oil filter housing because OIL has to pass through the unit to get to the filter and back to the housing. The potential issue with these coolers is when the cooling unit crushes and allows the otherwise contained coolant to mix with the oil passing through it.

In short, the o-ring has absolutely nothing to do with the coolant.

Ok this might seem stupid but my car has the cooler lines looped at the housing. Jw where I should hook them up to the coolant at if I find the housing not to leak. I want to start out with this car as factory as I can, and go from there.
