Actually installing an Evo 3 IM on 2g head?

im seeing a lot of people putting evo 3 intake manifolds on 2g heads, but I can’t for the life of me find out the process it would be to actually do that. If anyone can explain it or link a thread that does it would be greatly appreciated. My 2g head is on a 6 bolt block, and is going in my 1g if that changes anything.

There is nothing special, just like installing a 2g intake manifold on a 2g 7 bolt cylinder head.

But there are some general things to keep in mind :
- You need to plan where you are going to mount the coil pack unless you have the early EVO coil bracket. And if you relocate the coil pack, most of case you would need longer spark plug wires, and also maybe would need to extend wires for the coil pack and PTU.
- If the intake manifold is an EVO 3 manifold, you have to block off the SAS port on the manifold or EGR port on the cylinder head in case if you don't use it. If the manifold is an EVO 1-2/RVR, no need to do this because there is no M16 banjo bolt hole on manifold. And the EVO 3 intake manifold has one more vacuum port than the EVO 1-2/RVR manifold, so if you don't use it, you would need to block it off.
- If your throttle body is a 90 or GVR4, you would need to use a 91+ throttle body other wise it will cause a massive leak.
- If the car is 2g and still use the MDP sensor, you would need to relocate it since there is no MDP port on the early EVO/RVR manifold.

Maybe I am still missing some but those come to mind first.
