Brought a act clutch street disk. I have mild mods I'm dino tuned at 230awhp. Goal being around 300. Going to replace flywheel when I do the clutch. Who should I go with act or Finanza?
Also I have read not to use act throw out bearing... So do I go to bumper to bumper and get a new one from there or??

97 gsx

Many of us would definitely recommend using only the OEM TOB. As far as flywheels go, I prefer the 1 piece design of ACT. The failure points are drastically less on the ACT compared to fidanza's multi-piece design. There has to be nearly 50 pieces or so that are holding the Fidanza together that could potentially become a projectile. ACT also has a solid friction surface for better torque transfer as opposed to Fidanza's dimpled friction surface due to the bolts holding the plate. I would personally stick to the slightly heavier chromoly flywheel.

I've run both. back to back. ^^^ What he said. the ACT also has less clutch chatter in reverse or coming off the line.. it's more.. "forgiving" so to speak

I'd get the ACT. I think the Fidanza is too light. It makes launching with a 6 puck a very difficult task to get perfect every time. The much lower inertia makes the rpms drop too low between shifts for my liking. I'm actually ditching my Fidanza and going back to an OEM FW.
