ACT NSK Throw-out bearing and OEM are IDENTICAL!

So like many others I bought an OEM throwout through Conicelli and an ACT 2600 kit through Prostreet (with the newer plastic sleeved NSK throw out)

I took both out of the box and they are identical, they BOTH say NSK on them.

So when buying a new ACT clutch kit, dont waste your money and time getting an OEM one.

the same thing happened to me when i put in my act 2600 a few weeks ago.

That's odd... I got my ACT kit from Buschur and it came with an NSK TOB that was about 1/4" bigger than the OEM one I bought.

My ACT2100 came with a Nachi TOB which was plastic sleeved. Works great.

If I remember correctly, ACT switched over a few months ago.

same here, i read somewhere nsk makes the oem one so that's what i put on, i got mine with my 2100 kit i bought from prostreet like 5 months ago

if i order from prostreet, i wouldn't need to buy another TOB right?

when i step on the clutch pedal i can hear grindin noise coming from the tranny area, so thats a bad TOB (throw out bearing) ???

so its betta to fix the whole clutch right?

act2100? or 2600?

I'm running a ACT 2600 pressure plate, a SPEC carbon disk (new style) and an SSG flywheel.....

The 2600 is probably a good choice.

I just went with a different disk in order to have more power capacity without going to the 2900 and 3200 ACTs other people run.

what is a SPEC carbon disk ??? From what i hear NSK makes the oem one

Our ACT clutch kits come with only ACT recommended parts and part numbers. They are very high quality. 98TSiAWD is correct in saying they are identical throw out bearings to OEM.
