ACT 2600 + XACT shudder

I just replaced my clutch on my fwd with a act 2600 and a xact flywheel. Replaced the TOB as well. The pedal was adjusted correctly and feels good. The problem is when I start to slip the clutch either just starting out in first gear or downshifting, the whole car shudders and shakes. If I start out at a higher rpm 2500+ it will engage smoothly. All of the bell housing bolts are tight and everything went together well. There is no other problems once it is engaged. Any ideas??? Is this a typical symptom during a break-in??

What you are experiencing is "chatter" and is very normal on a new clutch combo. The disc needs time/miles to get acquainted with the new FW surface. It should decrease as it breaks in further. Try to be smooth while engaging and disengaging till it fully breaks in. However, don't overdo it by slipping the clutch too much. Good luck.
