does anyone use this for street? i came across a good deal on a new one. the act site says "not recommended for street use" because of harsh engagement or something. just curious if anyone uses it or not. thanks guys

what about a resurfaced stock flywheel with an act2100?

would that eat up the clutch or just be harder to drive?

looks like im going to pass on this and just go with a streetdisc then. thanks everybody

The aggresive friction material tears up the surface on the flywheel. Same thing any clutch does, it just does it MUCH quicker.

OK, well that makes a little more sense. Any aggressive clutch will create more wear, I just couldn't figure out why she was singling out just the 6 puck. I am getting ready to put a sprung hub 6 puck in my car and her statement made me a little nervous.OMG

I bought my car with an ACT with a 6 puck and an OEM flywheel. I don't know if it was the setup or what but I would have a lot of chatter when I would take off. In case you don't know chatter is, it feels like wheel hop when you are just trying to take off. You can get used to the clutch and have it engage smoothly, but if you slip up your car will throw you around a little. I would not recommend getting it. Just get a street disk. And when I finally changed out the clutch, I had to get a new flywheel because mine was gone.
