Acceleration Pedal.. stiffer than clutch?

Has it always been like that? Or did it just recently start?

Check to see if there is anything in the way of your pedal, check the cable itself and then check to see if the TB is dirty.

I'm guessing dirty TB, or from the way you put it, your clutch sucks. LOL

Yeah, since I've bought the car it's been like that man! Been about 8 months. Clutch is fine. Never slipped a gear, never grinded since I've got it. Nothing in the way of my pedal. My clutch does go back quite a ways though.. I think I'll be getting a TDX stage 4 pretty soon.

My gas pedal has just about as much resistance as my clutch.. What is the problem here? Lol. Some advice would be nice as to how I can fix this!

I had a similar problem, which led to my throttle sticking (Thankfully I was quick enough to push the clutch in and shut it down before I hit my friend in front of me or did any damage to the car).

My problem was in the little black box where all the throttle linkage goes in to, it had started to cease up causing stiff pedal and eventually throttle sticking. I just sprayed the crap out of mine with PBblaster, and also sprayed the linkage in the cabin and then I started spinning my tires off of red light by accident because the pedal was so much easier to push LOL.

So I'd check all your linkage before you did to much beyond that.

Alright man, I'll try that when I get back home. I just came back to work.. I have a 7 on 7 off schedule. Love it. :p

Haha, hope so man! (Crosses fingers) Money isn't much of a problem as of now. I'm just now starting to turn my daily into a project. Taking things slow. :p This is just something that was on my mind.

Well that's good at least, mines zapped my funds at the moment LOL. So cheap fixes = great news for me :p

Just got done replacing my engine in my driveway by myself, used a forklift to get the motor in and out haha. After getting a misfire sorted (bad injector on cyl 2) on the new(er) engine, its finally road worthy again aside from random temp fluctuation, which I think I've got narrowed down to old ass radiator, temp sensor or possible faulty (new) thermostat.

I'm in no rush to mess with it anymore at this point haha.

I feel you on that.. I just bought a FMIC and 99 front bumper to find out if I put it on now it will in fact reduce my performance.. :/

Lol, that sounds like something that would happen to me :p I've gone to researching almost everything I am about to do to my car before I buy anything because of things like that.

I will say though, this car has taught me a ton about mechanics. Once I eventually get settled in and get on my feet I want to by a GSX to hook up, this one I just want to keep mostly about looks (I love my 28-32 MPG average - depending on temp and how I'm driving LOL).

Man.. I think I barely get 200 miles to the 16.9g tank LOL

Throttle cable could be rusted or dirty from age. Make sure that its not rubbing on the little j-pipe coming out of the firewall.

This doesn't sound anything like your case, but I will share it because it happened to me. My coil-pack went bad and the previous owner had a broken coil-pack bracket on, but not bolted to the intake manifold itself. Somehow the coil was arcing to the intake and traveled threw the throttle cable, eventually freezing it up. Took awhile to figure out the problem.

Your problem sounds more like either the cable is aged or its the throttle body.

No one bothered to mention the cruise control? I dont remember if 2G's have them in the same way a 1G does, but it can cause the same symptoms.
