this car im working on used to be an automatic now its a manual. theres a sensor thats activated when the clutch pedal is all the way down. i cant seem to find where that sensor plugs into the harness. can anyone explain???

theres a plug plugged into the sensor and its about 2 inches with another connector. i dont see where that plugs into. is it for cruise control or somthing?

My car is a 2g but I have the same situation. You can plug that in but its probably not going to help you. I've got a a/t to a m/t and i plugged the same sensor together and the car would still start without the clutch being depressed. From what i understand it is better to have it this way. So you dont put any extra ware on your clutch due to starting. Just make sure you dont try and start it while its in gear.

If that car used to be an automatic, it might not have the plug for that sensor. That "sensor" is actually a switch. It won't let you start the car unless the clutch is fully depressed. If you don't have a plug for it...don't worry. Just don't try to start the car with the transmission in gear and the clutch not pressed ;)
If you look at the pictures in this thread

You should be able to see where that connector plugs into the car. Oh, and I almost forgot...yes, there are two switches on the clutch pedal if the clutch pedal donor car had cruise control.

Theres 2 switches down there:

1 is for the cruise cutout, if you push the clutch while on cruise it will cut off.

1 is to sense when the clutch is pushed in (for startup), Im with the other guy, an Auto. car will probably not have this wired in. HOWEVER, you could still probably put this switch in and use it for "no lift 2 shift" feature that is commonly used on MT cars with modified ECU's

so pretty much it doesnt matter if its plugged in ..im deleting cruise control anyways...just dont start it in gear?
