Well my last post got closed without having all of my answers replyed. I was wanting to know where the clutch should disengage/engage? Right off the floor? midway? almost at the top?

Just a fast question.

Thanks - sorry for reposting the question, but I didn't find it in afew searches maybe I'm typing the wrong thing. I keep finding clutch adjustments, and I already know how to adjust it - just not where it should be...

Thanks again. ;)

Ok

For some reason my brother - which has trouble even reading... thinks hes some kind of mechanic or something half the time - and he wanted to feel the clutch when I was done adjusting it - its midway, more then 1" play at the top, and not to far down, but he says it should be right off the floor... he just yaps away in my ear about all types of stuff I do... IT DRIVES ME INSANE. Thats half the reasons for these dumb questions - he makes me doubt myself alot with his rambles.

Later guys.

We can't all smoke crack... :sneaky:

About 3 inches off the floor.

Most people think they have there clutch adjusted correctly and in fact they have it all ####ed up. I thought mine was right. Boy was I wrong :p

I had my car down at TRE one day and Jon showed me how it was suppose to be done. He said almost no one, maybe 1 out of 50 people has it right. Everyone thinks they do but really don't.

I have to say after having him adjust my clutch I've noticed a WORLD of difference in my car. I cant tell you how much nicer my car shifts now. Also I'd say I have less then an inch of free play after having Jon set up my clutch.

Your last post was about transmission fluid , which -since you apparently didn't search- was closed after the relevant link was provided. For best results, do not refer to "A post that was closed, waaa, waaa" as it tends to upset some of the more cranky Moderators here.

Again, either searching or ReadingTFManual would answer this for you. As with most cars, the proper clutch pedal (not "petal", for those flowery posters who don't understand there's no such word as "studder") free play is about 1" to ½".
Thanks - sorry for reposting the question,
Which, other than the snivelling, was the appropriate thing to do in the first place. Who would think to try "transmission fluid" as something to search for when they wanted to know about clutch adjustment? Did you try to find "clutch free play" by using "transmission fluid" as a search? Y'see?

Now then. We all already know what a bombastic, rude, brusque, inconsiderate and bullying jerk I am, so you can save yourself that PM, topic, or email. Ludachris knows it, too, and despite his best efforts to save the innocent, the atrocities continue. I offer my begrudgingly lickspittle apologies in advance.

He's used to driving cars that have almost no clutch left.
