Searched, found nothin. Putting my front end back together after doing wheel bearings. I installed the speed sensor and noticed it was hitting the tone ring. I loosened it up, turned the hub so the sensor was sitting on top of one of the high ridges on the tone ring. Tightened it up and now it skims across. Is this the correct way to reinstall it?

No one knows anything about the ABS on a 1g?

Are you talking about the reluctor ring? (disrupts the magnetic field of the ABS sensor to make a signal)

The ABS sensor should be close to the the ring but not skimming it.

With it hitting the ring am I still ok? I didn't drive it or anything. Just spun it a little by hand and noticed it hitting.

Again, there is a gap for a reason. If the sensor is hitting then it is going to get ruined. Is there any kind of centering pin on the toothed ring? If so then your wheel bearing install went bad or something is bent. Is it wobbling? I would just get rid of the ABS.
