hey guys, the abs light has been on since i got the car about 4 months ago

its on the bottom of my to do list for the christmas break and its time to figure out its issue

the guy i bought the car from said there was front passneger work done and thats the snesor thats not working --- before i go taking his word for it, id like to scan the car and make sure its that one indeed

how do i go about this -- id like to avoid a 95 dollar charge at the dealership,, any ideas guys?

would appreciate a cheap alternative:hellyeah:

Unless you have a diagnostic scan tool to find out what sensor is bad you are gonna have to take it to someone that has a scanner. But there is a few things you can do that might be able to find the problem. The first is to jack your car up one side at a time and check the wheel bearings for play alot of times if you have a bad wheel bearing this can throw your abs light. Another thing to do while you are looking at the wheel bearings is to check the abs wire that comes out of the back of your wheel bearing if has a cut in it that will throw your abs light on. If You do all this and still dont come upwith anything then you will have to take it to someone that has a scanner.

My light was on when i got my car together. Got ged up with trying to fix it so I just pulled the bulb out of the dash. most people want to get rid of abs antways
