About to Seafoam a 1G...but where to link in ??

Going to Seafoam the old queen this week. Then change the 02 sensor and give her a oil job with purple synthetic. Hoping to pass emissions. Just wondering if anyone has a picture of where to disconnect a vacuum line to put into the seafoam container. I am doing the vacuum line route...but not through top of the spark plugs. If someone can show me a pic of where to branch off would appreciate it.

normally you put seafoam where you add the oil, unless we're thinking of a different seafoam .. just run a little bit in there b4 your next oil change so you dont waste you new oil .. but be careful of how much, and how long you use it .. to much for to long, will destroy your rings, as well as weaking any gaskets .. good stuff, but read the directions carefully bro

Yeah but someone said they removed a vacuum line from between the TB and sensor that lead to thier BOV. I am assuming you take if off AT the BOV and not at the TB. In other words the end that links onto the BOV would be the end you put into the can. Just making sure.

Do a search on here and you'll find tons of threads about using it in various ways.

I believe that the BOV vacuum line on the 1g runs directly to the intake plenum.
If it's on the plenum(not just fed by one intake runner) where the seafoam can be evenly distributed, then use that. Pull the vacuum line off the BOV and slowly insert it into the can, sucking a little at a time.
Read the above thread, some other 1g'ers used vacuum lines running off the TB.
I won't rehash the entire thread so have a look at it and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks. I am gonna disconnect form the BOV and go that route. THat feeds right into the throttle body....should be even spread that way. Will post results and try to take pics of "The Cloud" so people can get an idea of how bad it can be


Will also post if this combo results in a passing emissions test.

actually some people do it on the throttle body in the 1g's on nipple P? im not sure just look in that thread with 10 pages , its on like 3 of those 10 pages and they even have pictures

if you do it threw the bov it will not go evenly threw the eninge. ive read it will miss a cylinder.

on my 1g i pulled the hose off the back of the intake manifold, if u look in back there is only one there and it is a lil off centered to the right side. i just pulled it and hooked up another hose and it let it suck threw.

yes, put it in the P port on the throttle body, while having a friend rev the car to 2500 and keep it there, it may want to die due to the vacuum. I just did seafoam yesterday and honestly I can't tell any difference, some people can i guess, i just didn't.

OH BTW, you should have searched, there is a thread that is at least 10 pages long on this, so no need to keep a new one around, it might be best just to lock her up.
