Drive Shaft Rebuild

There are two carrier bearings, a lobro joint, and three U-joints. If you are changing the carrier bearings you might at well change all the U-joints, repack the lobro joint, replace the bushings, replace xfer case seal, and change the oil in the tranny, diff, and xfer case. Rebuilding the driveshaft assembly is one of the most shitty jobs I have ever done on a DSM.

Here you go -

Numbers 9 & 20 are the carrier bearings.

If you look under the car better then I bet you will see where the 2nd one goes. Start at the transfer case and follow the path of the driveshaft, I can't imagine how you wouldn't be able to see where it goes. The driveshaft has 3 shafts. There are carrier bearings at both joints of the 3 piece driveshaft.

Or someone before you installed a two piece driveshaft and if so it will be made of aluminum.
