not just 45 min ago i drained and put new oil in my trans. i use mystic 75/90 extended range synthetic blend. works great and its like 38degrees where i live right now

This has been pretty well discussed both by the forums and by vendors; either use the stock Diaqueen trans fluid for a 2005 Evo Mr, or redline mt90. Don't go using synchromesh or anything else that's not rated nor meant for our transmission internals.

The Diaqueen fluid however has jumped to near $100 for a gallon, but it's still worth it IMHO as I just bought a gallon two weeks ago. It's highly recommended by those of us that use it, and by trans vendors: Jacks Transmissions LLC — Oil

Either fluid is a good choice, I believe the redline now is distinctively cheaper; you can order it through any advance or zone (advance gets it via their Keystone catalog, make them look it up). Do what suits your preference and your budget.
